Edinburgh Science Triangle is a multi-disciplinary partnership aiming to promote Edinburgh city region as a world-class science destination. It is a pioneering collaboration of universities and research institutes, science parks, local authorities and Scottish Enterprise. It aims to attract new investment and build a scientific community with unrivalled levels of interaction and knowledge exchange between academic research and industry.
Contribution to the Open Innovation Project
Edinburgh Science Triangle are involved as follows:
- Leading on the development of a technology festival targeted at developers, businesses and investors, aiming to become Europe’s leading launchpad for Open Innovation technology products.
- Showcasing the capacity of local high tech companies.
- Working across sectors to identify common problems and solutions for developing innovative businesses
- Acting as a test lab for Open Innovation events, training, toolkit and mentoring support.
- Piloting new ways of involving the general public in Open Innovation activities.
